2026 Tryout Coordinator

WANT TO HELP THE TEAM?


The AAC is accepting applications for the position of Tryout Coordinator with the AAC National Team Management Committee (NTMC)


Are you interested in a volunteer position and have experience in international agility competition? Consider applying for AAC National Team Tryout Coordinator. This is a non-voting position on the NTMC and is for a term of 1 year. The Tryout Coordinator will be directly responsible to the NTMC. The Tryout Coordinator will need to reside near, or be attending, the 2026 AAC Nationals/National Team Tryouts.


REQUIREMENTS

• AAC member in good standing and a minimum of 18 years of age

• Canadian citizen or landed immigrant

• Not an applicant or competitor for the 2027 AAC National Team

• Agree to comply with the AAC Rules and Regulations and adhere to the AAC Code of Conduct

• Agree to abide by all NTMC approved recommendations

• Agree to communicate all questions and concerns from competitors and AAC National event committee to the NTMC for deliberation

• Agree to maintain confidentiality on Committee deliberations


RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Work in conjunction with, and assist, the current NTMC and the 2026 AAC National Host in all activities prior to and during the 2027 AAC National Team Tryout events

• Confirm that all applicants satisfy the full National Team Selection Criteria

• Previous experience organizing and running a trial, great communication and people skills, a flexible schedule, and bilingualism will also be considered assets.

• Preference may also be given to those who do not have a member of family, or household, or a dog owned or co-owned applying for or named to the AAC National Team
