Laurie Keith

National Team Assistant Manager

Laurie started in agility in 1988 when it was brought from England to Canada and the AAC was called the ADAC (the Agility Dog Association of Canada). She has been judging since 1998 and has enjoyed the privilege of judging numerous Regional events, two National competitions and three times for the Bermuda Kennel Club. Over the years she has played agility with many of her dogs, achieving ATChC titles and beyond, competed at a variety of Regionals and made the podium at Nationals.

Laurie works as the D.O.G. Ambassador (Director of Greetings) for the largest credit union in Manitoba where she handles 2 wonderful St. Bernards. Laurie runs Backyard Agility Dogs with her husband Pierre in Petersfield, Manitoba. When she’s not working, competing, judging or hosting trials, Laurie also does trick training, rally obedience, barn hunt, sprinters, scent detection and therapy work with her dogs. Laurie is currently competing with her 7 year old sheltie, Revel and is training her 2 year old St. Bernard, Nickel with hopes of having him trialing later this year.

Laurie is honoured to be returning to the role of National Team Assistant Manager and looks forward to supporting the Committee and all the handlers and their amazing dogs at the 2025 World Agility Championships!
